Release Notes
Version 2.1
Fixed a problem with an incompatibility with SMARTDRV
delivered with Windows 3.1. It did not work with the write
back cache enabled. Although we have fixed this, we
strongly recommend that you not run SMARTDRV with this
feature enabled. Read the warning in the Windows 3.1 manual
and see if you don't agree.
Fixed a problem during Backup of ignoring an exit selection
when an overwrite data warning is issued.
Fixed a problem with an occasionally miss placed prompt for
filename.
Fixed a problem if you were attempting to backup one and only
one file that was less than 100 bytes, MAKEBAK failed to
back it up.
Changed the Mouse interface in GETBACK to only respond to the
Up and Down click (Previously certain screens responded with
the Down click only).
Changed the Mouse interface in MAKEBAK and GETBAK to be
limited to the active areas of the screen.
Added a Timeout to the Shareware version on nag screen to
allow running MAKEBAK from a batch file.
Fixed a problem with certain mouse drivers in MAKEBAK and GETBAK.
Changed the way 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 are displayed for improved compatibility
with certain displays.

Fixed a problem with small undefined directories in the "Define a
new Tree" portion of the Edit Include Excludes.
Version 2.2
Fixed a problem with MakeBak if there is less than 1024 bytes
available on a DOS backup disk.
Fixed Spawner's ability to handle an unlimited size DOS environment.
Version 2.3
Fixed a problem with GetBack when you save the configuration from
the second menu screen.
NOTE: For Windows Users - When running GetBack from Windows, files
the Windows has open will not be backed up. Backup Windows
Files using GetBack run from DOS.
Version 2.3a April 2, 1993
Fixed a problem with GetBack on certain Novell Machines. It was
leaving the configuration file open before spawning MakeBak.
Added a disk reset at the end of Makebak to prevent problems with
some disk caches.
Version 2.4 November 12, 1993
Fixed problem with 2 prompt screens that would not accept lower case.
This occured only during a recover when the master backup
directory spanned 2 disks.
Change so on recover only the needed directories are created
Fixed the backup set name, date & time at the top of the recover
screen to be correct. This problem only occured when recovering from
a disk with multiple backup sets.
